Readers Lend Their Voices...
To the Editor,

As a couple of old volun-
teers we were thrilled to hear that
half of this year’s Jamboree Com-
mittee were under the age of 35
years old.

A lot of us older people
have been saying for quite some
time we need some younger peo-
ple to step up and help out.

We manned the informa-
tion booth on Saturday afternoon
and saw first hand what a good job
they were doing; they were here,
there and everywhere taking care
of business.

From what we saw we
felt it was a good Jamboree. We
really enjoyed the parade, they
had twice the amount of vendors
as last year, and the car show was
back.

We want all of you to
know how much we appreciated
your effort. Keep up the good
work and thank you for being vol-
unteers.
Don and De De Webb
Vernonia
into the books sales is amazing,
thank you so much. Thank you to
all volunteers who help out with
programs and other services to
the library. We can’t do all the
programs without all the volun-
teers like you who help out. Thank
you to the Library Board for the
time that you put in to help cre-
ate policies and guidelines
that we use. Thank you Don
Webb for the loan of the beauti-
ful art work. Don does amaz-
ing work on leather; come in and
see it. The Library is truly blessed
with all the support that is given.
I can not say thank you enough to
everyone that helps makes our
library the precious jewel
of the community that it is.
Dear Vernonia Community and
Library patrons,

I just want every-
one to know how grateful the Li-
brary is for all the volunteer
and community support we re-
ceive. The community was very
generous with donations for the
book sale during Jamboree, thank
you. Thank you to the Friends of
Library for all your wonderful
support that you give, your fund-
raising efforts are truly a bless-
ing for us. All the hours that Barbara Ward
the Friends of the Library puts Interim Library Director
