Echoing Evergreens Day Camp
registration is now open!
2014 EE Day Camp will be
held at Airport Park in Vernonia, Au-
gust 4 th -8 th . Camp Hours are 9:30 AM-
3:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
and Friday with camp running from
1:00 PM until after the campfire on
Thursday. Program and campfire starts
at 7:00 PM.
All school age children are
welcome to attend our camp. Campers
will engage in activities such as sci-
ence experiments, arts and crafts, camp
cooking, field games, obstacle courses,
dress up days and much more!
Thursday night we offer a pro-
gram of silly skits and a campfire for
campers and their families. During this
time, we sing camp songs, talk about
the fun week we’ve had and teach the
history, importance and proper disposal
of the American Flag. This is a ceremo-
ny that will be remembered for many
years.
We are always looking for vol-
unteers to help at camp in a number of
different stations and groups. Not only
does this help to make a lifetime of
memories for the children of our com-
munity, it is also a great way to log
volunteer hours for scholarship applica-
tions, etc. Teens volunteering at Camp
this year should plan on arriving at 6:00
PM on Sunday for set-up.
