June is the green flag to go! Get out
of the abode and wipe the cobwebs
away.
Gemini (May 20-June 20) This
is a strong month for personal
plans. You may be giving off mixed
signals until the 19th, but afterward
communications will be a breeze.
Near the 18th, a partner may need
extra attention, and the 23rd is strong
for strengthening relationships or
attracting new ones. Fate is in your
hands. You have the power to make
things happen on your terms.
Cancer (June 20-July 22) You
are strongly motivated to increase
personal income flow this month. The
effort is likely to meet with success.
The first 3 weeks are largely devoted
to some level of emotional retreat,
you’re beginning to feel in control of
your life the last week of June. This is
a great period of effecting change in
your life. Partnerships are absorbing
from 21-25.
Leo (July 22-Aug 22) While you
have plenty of energy this month,
the question will be where to direct
it. Friendships, group activities, and
personal aspirations are center
stage. Tricky matters with friends
and lovers arrive on the 18-20.
Don’t let misunderstandings get in
the way of pleasure. A strong period
of independence is introduced this
month.
Virgo (Aug 22- Sept 22) Your
attention is devoted to career
initiatives this month. Going over
past mistakes professionally, and
dealing with a few misunderstandings
personally, happens until the 19th. It
is not the most energetic month and
you may deal with minor romantic
snags. Social engagements and
romance are most likely to be found
through work.
Libra (Sept 22-Oct 22) You are
working hard to achieve your goals
this month, both material and spiritual.
You are spiritually adventurous and
are more philosophical than usual.
A partner could be expressing more
independence. Single Libras might
find a partner through a friend from
5-8. After the 19th, delays with travel
plans lift.
Scorpio (Oct 22-Nov 21) This is a
strong period for work and career.
You could receive public recognition

Sagittarius (Nov 21-Dec 21) This
is an expressive month for you.
Satisfying your itch for change and
adventure seems like a good idea.
Tricky matters with finances and
partnerships need to be handled.
It is not a month in which asserting
your will or pushing your agenda will
get you very far. Full moon in your
sign on the 18th may come with an
emotional outpouring.
Capricorn (Dec 21- Jan 20) Handling
details, focusing on improvement,
and getting down to business figure
strongly. Your attitude toward what
makes you feel secure is changing
and there is intensity to your nature.
From the 18th forward, relationships
and compromise take center stage.
Best days for opportunities are the
10th and 20-24th.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 19) You
have a strong need for recreation
and pleasure this month. Your
energy is on the low side, so when
work becomes a more pressing
concern after the 20th, you might
feel a little out of focus. Plenty of
conversations, some heated, take
place with a partner. The 12-13th is
a tricky period when you could be
feeling unappreciated or stressed.
Finish up projects before the 26th for
maximum success.
Pisces (Feb 19-March 20) Work
is busy and challenging mainly
because your heart is with your home
and family. You are more able to
increase your income by performing
tasks that others dislike doing this
month. Career demands peek on the
18th. The question of friendship and
acceptance for who you are crops up
with a close partner. After the 18th a
more pleasurable cycle begins.
Aries (March 20-April 19) A busy
and exciting month. Although you
may be doing much, you may find
you aren’t producing much. Perhaps
you have too many balls in the air.
The first 3 weeks of the month are
full of errands and appointments
before calming down. The 3-8 are
excellent for personal relationships
and romance heats up this month.
Taurus (April 19-May 20) You will
experience an increase in energy
to tackle major projects. Finances
may be tricky until after the 19th.
If you are unclear about making a
purchase or investment, stay on the
fence until you are thinking clearer
about it. Frustrations in career occur
mid-month; any face-offs are most
likely about money.
Head Start Recruiting Now
Head Start, a federally funded
pre-school program, is seeking
students for the 2014-2015 school
year. Applications are being taken
from all three and four year olds in
Columbia County. Recruitment for
fall enrollment is now in progress. If
parents are interested in enrollment
information they are urged to phone
immediately.
Perspective students must be
three or four years old by September 1,
2014. Children must be from limited
income households or have a disability
and/or special needs to qualify.
Head Start incorporates a total
family program that includes nutrition,
education, medical and dental services
for the enrolled child and home
visitations. USDA approved meals are
served. Training on various subjects
and on the job training is offered to all
enrolled families. Transportation is
not available.

(USDA) and the State of Oregon
