Joshua Johnston is New US Bank Manager
Joshua Johnston has been pro-
moted to Branch Manager at the Verno-
nia US Bank.
Johnston and his family have
lived in Vernonia for six months. Origi-
nally from Forest Grove, Johnston says
he remembers coming to Vernonia as a
kid to go fishing with his dad at the Mill
Pond.
Johnston graduated from Forest
Grove High School in 2004. He moved
to southern Oregon for a brief period.
He’s been working for US Bank for sev-
en years and says he is making banking
his career.

Johnston likes to play music in
his free time; he’s trying to learn the gui-
tar and harmonica and says he played a
lot of violin as a child. He likes to fool
around with technology and has built
computers when he was younger. He
also says he played a lot of baseball and
soccer as a kid and is looking forward to
getting involved in youth sports here in
Vernonia, possibly as a coach.

get noticeably healthier shortly after go-
ing into the clinic. Their behavior im-
proves and they start to put on weight.
If you have or are caring for outdoor
cats, consider making low cost cat shel-
ters to protect them from the weather
and coyotes/raccoons. Creatures and ShyAnne Carlile is one of the volunteers
who patiently tames feral kittens.
