The Vernonia Boosters hosted another successful year of their Echoing Evergreens
Day Camp from August 5 th through the 9 th . For the second year in a row the camp was
held at Vernonia’s Airport Park. 265 kids, adults and parents participated in camp this
year and enjoyed crafts, games, nature hikes, eating fun foods, learning new skills and
cooling off in the waters of the Nehalem River. Kids dressed up
in the theme of each day and presented skits at a special evening
campfire program on Thursday.
