JUST WONDERING how life has
changed for Sykes Mitchell now
that he is married to a Queen!
Congratulations ANN MITCHELL.
It was a great day at Senior Day at
the Columbia County Fair, being
in attendance and watching
Vernonia’s Senior
Princess
representative Ann crowned My
Fair Lady Queen. Exciting year
ahead as she represents this title
around Columbia County and
elsewhere.

the Columbia County Fair as well
with their jail set up outside the
Pavilion. If you were one of the
targeted ones put behind bars,
you had better hoped you had
someone around with sympathy
to bail you out. The monies from
this fun event goes to the Veteran’s
StandDown coming early next year.
The StandDown is a day focused
on homeless Veterans in Columbia
County. Those in attendance will
be given helpful information, along
with blankets, clothes, etc. Watch
this column for exact dates. If you
