    welcome
from the editor
First of all I would like to take
this opportunity to wish all of you a Hap-
py New Year! I hope each of you had an
enjoyable holiday season, whatever that
means for you.
The start of a new year is always
a good time to take stock and look for
ways to do things differently or better.
Personally I have never been
one to make resolutions or set goals at
this time of year. But this year looks to
be different.
This year I will be trying to
evaluate our business model at Verno-
nia’s Voice and look for ways that we
can improve the product that we present
to the community we serve. Over the
next few months we will be considering
2013
several ideas and probably making some
adjustments and changes to our prod-
uct.
One change that we have already
decided to make is to adjust the dates
when we publish our paper. For the past
several years Vernonia’s Voice has been
published on the second and fourth Tues-
day of each month. Starting in February
we will make a slight change and adjust
those publication days to the first and
third Thursday of each month. This is
really just a minor change with the hope
of making our publication more timely
and convenient for our readers, advertis-
ers, contributors, and those we serve in
the community.
