The real estate market continues to maintain steady growth and appreciation as the housing
market gains strength. The inventory of both new and existing homes has dwindled. Motivated
buyers are moving off the fence to take advantage of the historically low interest rates and
adjusted prices. Vernonia has also experienced a good year. From January to date, Vernonia
area (97064) has had 50 residences from $8,500 up to $500,000 sell, 1 commercial property, 8 lots
& lands and 10 properties are currently pending to close. (This information was collected through
RMLS and does not include any FSBO closings.)
All indicators are showing that 2013 will likely continue the trend of continued strengthening
of the local real estate market.
