Christmas Dinner In Vernonia
Join us in celebrating the Spirit of giving this Christmas
season at the Annual Christmas Dinner. Dinner will be served
from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 25 th at the
Vernonia Senior Center.
Dinner is Free to families and friends in Vernonia. No
gratuities or donations are required. Dinner will include turkey
and dressing, ham, cranberries, mashed potatoes and gravy,
vegetable, bread, choice of dessert, and beverage. Dinners to go
available.

Letter the Editor,
I want to take a moment to
reflect on the event, “The Spirit of
Christmas in Vernonia.” This event is so
still so young, but yet has become what
I would consider a success. Yes, there
are things to add, change or improve on,
however given it’s in only its third year,
I would say “Yeah! We did it!!”
Like most events volunteers
are hard to come by. My hope is that in
the future those that do find value in the
event and would like to see it continue
will step forward to help. There are so
many ideas out there, but they need to
be shared in order to come to fruition.
I have no doubt that many of you know
this is true and have ideas even as you
read this. My vision for this event is
to eventually bring in people from
neighboring cities that would like to see
a small town Christmas, and what better

The Vernonia Dickens Carolers spent the day of December 1, 2012 wander-
ing the streets of Vernonia and performing as part of “The Spirit of Christmas
in Vernonia” celebration. To see a video of these carolers performing a song
