First Day at the new Vernonia Schools

On the first day of classes at the new Vernonia Schools, students
were greeted at the door by State Senator Betsy Johnson and
Columbia County Commissioner Tony Hyde, who handed out
pencils and apples. Students found their way from the bus to
their classrooms, checked out the new storage cubbies and were
introduced to their student body officers, 19 foreign exchange
students and several students new to the district.
