Summer Meals Program is Open Again
The Vernonia Summer Meals
Program has opened for the second year and
is once again serving breakfast and lunch,
free of charge, for children in the Vernonia
Community. The program is being held at
the Vernonia Community Church, 967 State
Street.
The program opened on June 18 and
will run through August 17. All youth aged
0-18 are eligible for free meals. Adults with
a child can purchase breakfast for $1.50 and
lunch for $2.50.
The program is able to accept
donations of fresh produce to help supply the
program. Please consider dropping off your
extra veggies this summer from your garden.
