Church News and Events
By Mark Brown

The Class of 2012 will have graduated and the
summer is just around the corner.

This is the time of year when new life is spring-
ing forth and there is hope of new beginnings. Each
one of us is a community in ourselves. Each of us is
connected to one another and what we do and how we
respond to one another will have great impact in our
community, its health and the health of its individuals.

We are so easily offended, we find it difficult to
forgive and ask for forgiveness; at the same time ready
to accept second hand information as truth. We judge as
if we know the truth and run from the truth for fear of
being judged. “Love covers a multitude of sin” Thank
you Jesus! We are no stranger to Sin; “if we say we
have not sinned we deceive ourselves and the truth is
not in us”. So let’s stop pretending we have it all to-
gether.

Love is not just a word, it is an action applied
to the lives of those in our community. It needs to be
practiced in our homes, schools, standing in the check-
out line and within community, not just preached in our
churches. I believe we have learned this truth in the life
challenges we have shared as community. I believe this
is a time for new beginnings; each of us has the capac-
ity and ability to sustain this life in our community. A
gentle reminder--It starts with sacrificial love, thinking
as highly of others as you might yourself. Slow to an-
ger, ready to offer a word of encouragement and a hand
to pick someone up.
Connie’s Fabulous Breakfasts:
