Happy Trails: A Report From the Rodeo Road
By Mackenzie Carr
Miss Rodeo America 2012
Hello again,
After my trip to Florida, I was
able to attend an event in my home state,
the 2012 Miss Northwest Professional
Rodeo
Association’s
coronation
fundraiser. It was so great to see everyone
and to support my good friend Emily
Clark. On the way home from Bend, I
even stopped to play in the snow at Ski

For my next stop, I

My next appearance took my to traveled from the frigid cold
Ogden, Utah where I had the opportunity snow in Utah, to the humidity

to them about the interviewing process, been to a rodeo and were quite interested
public speaking, and working with in learning what all the best sport on dirt

I’m sure that you can see a
common theme emerging from a lot of
my trips, education. I feel that that is
the most important aspect of my job as
Miss Rodeo America. It is not the fame
or glory that comes with the title, it is
having the opportunity to speak to others
about my passion. More gratification
comes from being able to help and
teach others, than from the glitz and
the glamor. I am so blessed to be in the
position I am today, thank you again for
this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Until next time.
