The  bride  is  the  daughter  of 
Ron  and Trish Maldonado  of Vernonia, 
Oregon. The groom is the son of  J.  Briant 
Fournet, Jr. of Lafayette, Louisiana and 
Kristine  Marie  Koepke  of  Hedgesville, 
West  Virginia.    The  happy  couple  will 
continue to reside in Vernonia.

Robert  F. “Bob” Hendrix, 67, a 
resident of the Vernonia community, died 
on  November  11,  2011,  at  Community 
Home Health and Hospice in Longview, 
Washington. 
A Celebration of Life Service was held 
on  Saturday,  November  19,  2011,  3:00 
PM  at  Nehalem  Valley  Bible  Church, 
with the Pastor Gary Taylor officiating.
 
Robert    F.  “Bob”  Hendrix 
was  born  July  26,  1944  in  Coffeyville, 
Kansas,  the  son  of  Ralph  and  Hazel 
(Bishop)  Hendrix.  He  was  raised  and 
6  pounds  and  10  ounces  to  the  proud  received  his  education  in  Coffeyville,

then  attended  American  River  Junior 
College  in  Sacramento,  California 
where he received his Associates of Arts 
Degree  in  Social  Science  graduating  in 
1964.
 
Following  his  graduation,  Bob 
enlisted  in  the  United  States Air  Force 
where  he  served  as  anF-15  simulator 
programmer.  Bob  was  stationed  at 
Holloman  Air  Force  Base,  Beale  Air 
Force  Base,  Moody  Air  Force  Base, 
England Air Force Base, and Kadena Air 
Force Base in Okinawa, Japan. After 23 
years  of  dedicated  service,  Bob  retired 
from  the  Air  Force  in  1988  at  rank  of 
Technical Sergeant.
 
He then continued his simulation 
programming career in the civilian world 
with the Raytheon Company until 1998 
when he became a safety supervisor with 
Northwest  Bag  House.  Bob  formally 
retired in 2005.  
 
Bob  was  united  in  marriage  to 
Frances  Phipps  on  September  18,  1976 
at  Beale Air  Force  Base  in  Marysville, 
California.  The  family  resided  in 
Portland,  Oregon  until  2004  when  they 
moved  to  Vernonia,  Oregon  and  have
