Kids (and Adults) Enjoy Week
at Camp Wilkerson

Echoing Evergreen Day Camp
enjoyed another successful year at Camp
Wilkerson in early August. Organized by
the Vernonia Boosters Club, this annual
week in the woods, provides Vernonia
kids with a chance to hang out with their
friends, learn new skills, create arts and
crafts projects, and just plain play and
have fun. The camp is for kids aged K
through 6 th grade but really it’s for the
whole community; middle and high school
students act as aides and councilors and
adult volunteers lead workshops and teach
skills. Everyone can get involved and
pretty much everyone has a good time.

This year 294 kids and 54
adults took part in the camp.
