The knights provided a free evening demonstration at Hawkins Park, giving interactive instruction in medieval historic arms, and swordsmanship and combat strategies before donning their full armour for a demonstration of a full contact battle. The Knights of Veritas use high quality replica steel armour designed after pieces from the early- to mid-1500’s. Their armour looks and feels like the historical originals, including accurate weight. A full 7 2011 suit of armour weighs about 65 pounds. The annual visit by the Kights of Veritas is becoming an favorite for both Vernonia children and adults.
