about his police business so Kathleen nev-
er could find out any scuttlebutt. She also
says that even the town roughies, lucky
for them, enjoyed Officer Lolly’s “nice
guy reputation,” but if he ordered them to
leave town, she recalls, they left!
She also remembers the town giv-
ing her dad a wonderful retirement party
at the old Odd Fellows Hall. A photo of
her dad, Police Chief Ace Lolly is proudly
displayed today at the Police station, on
the wall next to the information counter.
Today Kathleen and Don have
been married fifty-four years have a
daughter Allyson, VHS Class of ‘68, mar-
ried to Keith Cameron, VHS Class of ‘67.
They enjoy hanging out at their Seaside
beach getaway.
Kathleen’s Bucket List: Opening
up her doll shop with her MANY dolls for
all to enjoy, and making a trip twenty-six
miles across the sea to Catalina Island,
CA, where she once lived back in the
1940’s—pre-tourist days.
