Future of Vernonia Grange to Be Discussed

The Vernonia Grange will be having a special meeting open to everyone on
the January 11th to discuss the future of the building and the local Grange Organiza-
tion. In 1902 the National Grange Organization chartered a chapter here in Vernonia
and the current Grange Hall building was built in 1907. Due to the lack of member-
ship and participation the local Family Organization is in jeopardy of losing its long
time charter. Those interested in Vernonia’s oldest running organization are invited to
a Town Hall meeting starting at 7:00 PM.

Thank You! Thank you! to all my friends
and neighbors for all the many lovely cards and
flowers I received during my recent illness.

Another big thank you to the wonder-
ful residents of Vernonia for passing the school
bond. Now when we get our new schools people
will move back and we may even have new people
move here, which will help our economy.

I feel so blessed to live in our very special
community.
Thanks to all,

Many of the students on this trip are
fundraising 100% of their trip. Without our town’s
support, this awesome experience would not be
possible for them. They are looking forward to an
exciting 2-week trip in July 2010 that will include
a homestay, intensive Spanish classes, field trips,
and community service projects in the small town
they will be living in.

Again, thank you for supporting this life-
shaping experience for a great group of students.
