Out. BBQ was
provided by
the local Lions
Club, and folks
were treated
to Police Dog
demonstra-
tions, tours of ambulances and
fire engines, and even got to try
on some gear.
IT'S A DOG PARTY!-
Dogs got to play and have
fun and bob for hot dogs
at the Dog Party during
the August First Friday
Event. This month the
dogs are back with more
fun and games, and a pet
parade on September 4th.
Echoing Evergreen Boosters Day Camp was held at Ver-
nonia’s Airport Park because road construction limited
access to Camp Wilkerson. Kids and Councilors alike
enjoyed the closer location and the new setting among
the trees. Games, crafts and activities highlighted the
four day camp which is open to all Vernonia residents.
The Camp is sponsored by the Vernonia Boosters and is
organized and run completely by volunteers, including
local high school students who act as councilors.
