Pioneer Museum Talks Continue
Twenty-five Vernonia Pioneer Museum patrons enjoyed the April Museum
Talk featuring Jerry Bush. Jerry’s father (with help from the whole family) ran the
Nehalem Dairy, which distributed milk, pop and beer to Timber and Vernonia from
the late 1940’s to the early 1960’s. He also showed a video of Vernonia scenes from
those years that were compiled from hundreds of feet of Bush home movies.
The June Museum Talk will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2:00 PM, at the
museum, E. 555 Bridge Street. Cynthia Robertson will share stories of the people
buried in the North Cemetery of Clear Creek (Timber Route). She will also discuss
the cemetery’s history and its future. Cynthia is a cemetery board member and has
been doing extensive research into the history of the area.
