20 vernonia’s voice february obituaries-announcements-classifieds 2009 Congratulations... Welcome to the World... Taylor and Dennis Announce Their Engagement Charles Heath Rielee Davis Once upon a time, in a fairy tale town amongst the hills of a Cascadian para- dise, two playful youths romped and roamed within each others company unaware of cupid’s future plans. Neither did their mothers discern as they laughed about their darlings and life during lunch break in the teacher’s lounge that they would someday be in-laws—a term of endearment for these two compatible friends. Throughout their youth, the prince and princess continued their dance at a distance crossing paths in the school halls until one fateful day, their two paths united and became one. Hence, because Cupid’s arrow struck and destiny has presented itself, Dan and Debbie Taylor of Friday Harbor, Washington would like to proclaim to the world, or at least community of Vernonia, the engagement and ultimate marriage of their princess, Katy Christine Taylor to her prince in shining armor, Bryan Tyler Dennis. They will be married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Vernonia. The celebration of this event will ensue July 11, 2009. At this chapter of their lives, the royal couple plan to continue their fairy tale story close to the family and friends of their childhood. Applying what he learned during his studies in forest management, Bryan’s career path currently has him managing and operating, West Coast Road Construction, a heavy equipment and road maintenance company he co-owns with a long time friend. Katy plans to continue her academic path and is considering a career in education hoping to nurture the lives of her children as well as others. We all anticipate the sequels to this childhood classic. Bryan and Katy may your future stories together always have happy endings. In Memory of...
