LINDA ELLEN FREEMAN Linda Ellen Freeman, age 60 of Forest Grove, Oregon, died on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the Jennings McCall II Assisted Living Center in Forest Grove, Oregon. A Celebration of Linda’s Life was be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Mt. Jefferson Room at the Jennings McCall Center, 2300 Masonic Way in Forest Grove, Or- egon, with the Reverend C. Eugene Sabin, re- tired pastor, officiating. Lodge Rites were under the auspices of the Home Star Chapter #187, Order of the Eastern Star in Forest Grove, Or- egon. A White Rose Ceremony were under the auspices of the Nydia Temple #4, Daughter’s of the Nile. Linda Ellen Freeman, was born on June 16, 1948 in Eugene, Oregon, the daughter of the late Stephen and Marie (Forcum) Fotta. She was raised and received her education in Eugene, Oregon graduating from Pleasant Hill High School in 1966. She attended the University of Oregon for one year and graduated from the Or- egon College of Education with a degree in high school education. She married David Holloway in June of 1970 and they made their home in Eugene until moving to Hood River, Oregon in 1974 when her husband was transferred while working for Safeway. In 1977 they divorced. In 1979 she met Arbie Freeman at a coffee shop and in 1983 they were married. She was preceded in death by her second husband in 1994. Among her special interests she enjoyed sewing, playing cards, traveling, reading and at- tending Daughters of the Nile and her Order of Eastern Star meetings. She was preceded in death by her four sis- ters, Florence, Irene, Rose and Nancy. Survivors include two brothers and sister- in-law; Tom and Deanna Fotta, of Eugene, Ore- gon; and Chuck and Letty Fotta of Creswell, Or- egon; and her sister and brother-in-law; Vivian and Wayne Webber of Grants Pass, Oregon. The family suggests remembrances may be made to the Masonic and Eastern Star Home Endow- ment Fund in her memory. Ohler, 81, of Oklahoma City, for- merly of Portland and Madras, Oregon, died November 21, 2008. Graveside services were held November 26, 2008 at the North Cemetery, in Vernonia, Oregon John was born August 11, 1927, in Vernon- ia, Oregon to parents George & Anna (Schmid- lin) Ohler. He was a veteran of WWII. John married Joan McLaughlin in July of 1950. After the death of Joan, he married Mary (Campbell). John was a truck driver. John enjoyed his trips to Chitna, Alaska to go dip-net salmon fishing, camping and playing cribbage. Survivors include his wife Mary Ohler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sons Michael Ohler of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Kenneth Ohler of Portland; daughters Shirley Stewart of Fair- banks, Alaska, Barbara Ford of Portland, Or- egon; Sisters Florence Johnson of Gresham, Oregon, Lorraine Hill of Reno, Nevada; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. CHRISTOPHER ALLEN KENADY Christopher Allen Kenady, age 61 of Ver- nonia, Oregon, died on Monday, October 27, 2008 at his residence in Vernonia. A memorial service and interment was to take place in California at a later date. Christopher Allen Kenady, was born on July 24, 1947 in Long Beach, California, the son of Craig and Rosemary (Jones) Ke- nady. Christopher was raised and received his education in Long Beach and graduated from Wilson High School in Long Beach in 1965. He served in the United States Army in the 101st Air Born in Vietnam and received a Medal of Valor while serving in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1968. After his discharge he worked as a aircraft mechanic in California for several years before moving to Vernonia about three years ago. While living in Vernonia he did small engine repair work. Among his special interests he enjoyed writing and listening to music. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his partner, Barbara Guy of Vernonia, Oregon; his brothers and sister-in-law, Cameron and Mary Ann Ke- nady of Irvine, California, and by Gage Ke- nady of San Francisco, California.
