Freeman, 66, a resident of Vernonia, Oregon, died on Friday, October 10th, 2008 at her home after a year long battle with ovarian cancer. Theresa requested that no services to be held. Theresa was born on June 24, 1942 in Lexington, Missouri, the daughter of Daniel and Lola (Lang) Kuchinski. She was raised by her mother and step- father, James Martin, in Raytown, Mis- souri with her two brothers and two sis- ters. She married Robert (Bob) Freeman on June 8, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri. Two years later, they moved to Oregon in 1965, this would be the first time Theresa would see the ocean and she was hooked ever since. They lived in Beaverton, Oregon up until she retired from Poorman-Douglas in 2005 then they moved to Vernonia, Oregon to be closer to their daughter and two grand-daughters. Theresa was an active member at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vernonia and she enjoyed volunteering whenever possible. She en- joyed walking around town, her Mother/Daughter weekends she and her daughter spent together (mostly at the beach) and spending time with her grand-daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father and her old- er sister Alberta Simmons. Theresa is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bob Freeman, her daughter Kim O’Connell and her grand-daughters, Danyell Free- man and Hailey O’Connell all of Vernonia, Oregon; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Louise Kuchinski of Kansas City, Missouri; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Gary Robbins of Camdenton, Missouri; and her brother C.H. Martin of Raytown, Missouri. Theresa never let the cancer get the best of her; through it all she always kept a smile on her face and had an uplifting attitude. She was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family suggests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org in her memory.
