VERNONIA’S
With Halloween behind us, we’re in a full-on launch
into the holiday season. Be sure to check out the
Events Calendar for many November and early De-
cember activities, to include Vernonia’s celebration of
an Old-Fashioned Christmas.
November is traditionally a month of counting our
blessings and giving thanks. So along those lines, I’d
like to say I’m thankful that our town, both citizens
and advertisers, have been able to support the ef-
forts of Vernonia’s Voice; committed to reflecting the
spirit of our community and to reporting community
news in a mindful way. I’m also thankful I live in a
place where problems, though they exist, are not in-
surmountable.
In writing the “Long” Dream Come True, the story and
family behind Café 47, I was reminded about how re-
sourceful we are as Vernonians and as a community.
I also see how effortless it is to give support to some-
thing when there’s genuine passion and determina-
tion at work. Again, congratulations to Bill and Karla
Long -- your energy and enthusiasm is contagious!
With the changes we’ve seen this year, and the vision
of more to come, it’s an exciting time for our commu-
nity. Thank you for letting Vernonia’s Voice be a part
of it!
