area children could attend. Nona and Kathy still attend and give us
a lot of support,” said Poetter.
Poetter sends out registration forms at the end of each school
year with all students. Those registration forms are also available
during the summer at the Sentry Market and at the Black Bear Cof-
fee Shop. The cost is around $50 for the week, “very inexpensive!”
says Poetter, and there are discounts for children who have parents
that volunteer.
“It’s exciting to see the kids doing things they wouldn’t normally
do,” said Poetter. “It was the best thing I’ve ever done in my life!”
said Lily Buchanan, a seven year old camper.
