Cycle Oregon Weekend Ride
JULY 22 & 23
Cyclist began arriving Friday night for Cycle Ore-
gon’s weekend ride “Backyard Treasure.” Vernonia
hosted this year’s event with over 700 riders par-
ticipating. Various routes from fifteen to seventy
miles were offered for Saturday and Sunday rides.
Cyclists enjoyed local activities and entertainment
Saturday afternoon before a concert with Jack-
straw Saturday evening. The weekend concluded
with a ride Sunday morning to preview the new

KUPL Fishing Derby & Concert
FATHERS DAY WEEKEND • JUNE 16
More than 400 people registered for this year’s fishing derby,
part of the second annual Fishing with KUPL event during Fa-
ther’s Day weekend; the auction and free concert featuring Jen-
nifer Lynn, Jesse Cain and headliner Jake Owen drew in a crow
of 1,100 Saturday night.
