Help build the ‘Wall of Remembrance’

Readers and followers of the North-
west Labor Press, Korean War veter-
ans, and members of the Richard L.
Quatier Chapter 321: I want to thank
you for your support to build the Wall
of Remembrance in Washington, D.C.,
for the 36,574 men and women who
lost their lives fighting for the people
of South Korea and the rest of the
world.
The Korean War has become known
as the “Forgotten War” — and the
“Forgotten Victory.” But because of ef-
forts by veterans’ organizations, U.S.
Senators Patty Murray and Maria
Cantwell of Washington, and many
others, these soldiers will no longer be
forgotten. That’s because the U.S. Sen-
ate passed SB 1982 to build a Wall of
Remembrance for the Korean War. It
was signed by President Barack Obama
on Oct. 7, 2016. The names of soldiers
who died in the war will finally appear
on a wall — similar to the Vietnam
Wall.
However, the wall can be built only
with private donations. No government
money can be used. Which is why we
need your help and support.

payable to The Korean War Memorial.
Any amount is welcome, as we now
have collected and sent back the
amount of $51,333.12.
