Classes help union activists develop
leadership skills and unify across
generations and industries. Core
courses will include Why Unions
Matter, Change and Challenge in the
Building Trades, Internal Organiz-
ing to Build Union Power, and
more. A Sunday morning panel will
discuss “Awakening and Unifying
our Intergenerational Labor Move-
ment.” The weekend event will also
feature a casino night and a solidar-
ity picnic and ice cream social. The
Summer School is presented by the
Labor Education and Research Cen-
ter in conjunction with the Oregon
AFL-CIO. Registration closes July
15. Register by June 30 and save
