HAPPY HOUR BENEFITS LABOR’S COMMUNITY SERVICE AGENCY. A Happy Hour
fundraiser Aug. 2 at Lagunitas Community Room in Northeast Portland raised $2,100 for Labor’s Commu-
nity Service Agency’s (LCSA). More than 100 union members from 26 locals took part. Food was catered
by Spin Catering, paid for by event sponsor Kaiser Permanente. American Income Life provided root beer
ﬂoats and soft drinks. Lagunitas donated the beer. Pints sold for $4, with all proceeds going to LCSA. Eliza-
beth Goetzinger of AFSCME Local 3580 (above left) gave a rousing speech about why workers need to
stick with the union, and attendees wrote on a chalkboard wall about why they stick with the union.
