And the stocking-making for the 2018 Unions Labor of Love Hol-
iday Toy Party begins! Retirees from various unions gathered April 24
to cut out and begin sewing Christmas stockings for Labor Community
Service Agency’s (LCSA) annual Presents from Partners Holiday Toy Party
held in December. There are 400 Christmas stockings to be made before
the event. Volunteering were Debbi Covert, Louise Currin, Greg Mona-
han, Leanna Hakala, Val Jack, Becky Wright, Everice Moro, Christine,
Karen, and Janice Byrum. They are retired members of American Feder-
ation of Teachers (AFT)-Oregon, Oregon Education Association, Portland
Federation of School Professionals AFT Local 111, Portland Community
College Federation of Classified Employees Local 3922, and Sheet Metal
Workers Local 16. The group will be back at it again on June 5 from 10
a.m to 2 p.m. at the LCSA office at 9955 SE Washington St., Suite 211,
