Tefere Gebre and Washington Gov.
Jay Inslee are among the special
guest speakers scheduled to appear
at the 2015 convention of the
Washington State Labor Council,
AFL-CIO, held July 23-25 at the
SeaTac DoubleTree by Hilton,
18740 International Blvd.
Under the theme “Fighting In-
equality,” union, political and com-
munity leaders will discuss how
workers in SeaTac, around Wash-
ington state, and across the nation
are fighting for prosperity to be
more widely shared.
Inslee and Gebre are tentatively
scheduled to speak Thursday, July
23, at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., re-
spectively. Gebre also will take
part in an Immigration Reform &
Naturalization workshop at 1:30
p.m.
The labor federation’s Commit-
tee on Political Education (COPE)
barbecue starts at 6 p.m. Thursday
