nual Presents from Partners Holiday
Toy Drive for underprivileged children.
“We anticipate greater need than in
the past with the struggling economy
and so many lost jobs in the Portland
metro area,” said LCSA office manager
Vickie Burns.
Northwest Oregon Labor Council
Executive Secretary-Treasurer Judy O’-
Connor reported that toys and cash do-
nations are down from previous years.
She is hoping union locals and mem-
bers will rally before the Dec. 18 dead-
line. Bring unwrapped gifts for chil-
dren of all ages to the NOLC office at
1125 SE Madison, Suite 100-D, Port-
land, no later than Thursday, Dec. 18.

Representatives from the BULL
(Business, Union and Legislative Lead-
ers) Session Golf Tournament and auc-
tion presented nine Oregon children’s
charities with checks totaling $375,000
on Dec. 1.
Over 450 individuals participated in
this year’s 18th annual BULL Session.
The event is co-sponsored by NECA-
IBEW Local 48, Cadillac, and Union
Bank of Californian. To date, the event
has raised over $3.375 million for local
charities.
This year’s recipients were Provi-
dence Child Center, Doernbecher Chil-
dren’s Hospital Foundation, March of
Dimes, Wheel to Walk Foundation,
Shriners Hospitals for Children,
Emanuel Children’s Hospital Founda-
tion, Gales Creek Camp Foundation,
Hearing & Speech Institute and Special
Olympics Oregon.
