morning putting together bicycles for kids in need. Ready to help are his
wife, Michelle (she made cookies), and son Nathan. Pioneer owner Mike
Crawford has been donating bikes to the Clackamas County Fire
Department’s “Operation Santa Claus” since 1999. This year, about 20
employees volunteered to build 250 bikes. Crawford gets donations from
outside sources, but the bulk of the money comes from the company, which
since its inception has built nearly 1,300 bikes at their shop on Water Avenue
across from OMSI.
