Seth Rogen: from superbad to superhero
>ANNY M o G ä RRY
The famous "Green Hornet"
has made a big comeback
with a new movie. Originally
a radio show character, the
Green Hornet flies it's way
into theaters with big fight
scenes and comedy.
In the "Green Hornet,"
media mogul Harry Reid
dies due to a bee sting,
leaving his son, Britt Reid, the
most successful newspaper
company in the world, the
Daily Sentinel. Britt realizes
that all he does is party and
has never done anything good
for anybody. He teams with
Kato, former mechanic to the
late Harry Reid, to fight crime.
They act like they're bad
’guys, in order to make the real
enemies think that they're on
his side.
At first, this movie seemed
like the average bang-boom-
bam movie with a superhero
twist. Some of the movie was,
but it also has a great storyline
and funny dialogue. When I
first heard Rogen would play
a superhero, I chuckled. But he
manages to pull off superhero,
more or less. But, he still
seemed like the average Seth

The Green Hornet, played by Seth Rogen, and Kato, played by Jay Chou, show off their fancy firepower.
Rogen has the comedy credentials to play the Green Hornet, but may not have the superhero qualifications.
Rogen, not the Green Hornet.
Kato, played by Jay
Chou, is supposed to be the
"human Swiss army knife."
Chou, who isn't known in
the United States as well as
he is in Taiwan, is almost
really just that. Chou plays
company, clothing stores, and
the piano brand, Secret. He
also is a musician, one of the
most popular in Taiwan. He
does manage to display these
talents in the movie, showing
his martial arts skills in
multiple scenes. The director
and made it seem as if he was
a robot.
Rogen and Chou have
chemistry, not like romantic
chemistry, b u t, "best-friend-
you're-my-buddy" chemistry
in the movie. Movies with this
type of chemistry are good,
and sets a light, fun tone for
the movie.
Cameron Diaz also makes
an appearance in the movie
as Rogen's secretary. Her role
in the movie feels as if they
put her in just so they could
have another big name in the
movie, but they didn't hire
her for the acting. She doesn't
make the role extraordinary
or anything breath-taking
but just seems to be there for
show.
More or less, the movie was
light-hearted, awesome and
fun. Don't expect anything
that has a beautiful plotline,
because it's not supposed
to. It's supposed to have
explosions, fighting and a lot
of laughs because it's just a
fun movie. I would highly
recommend seeing it if you're
in the mood for awesome. I’d
give this movie four out of
five stars because it is good,
but some of the roles are a
little bland
"The Green Hornet" is rated
PG-13 for sequences of violent
action, language, sensuality
and drug content.
San Bias restaurant provides delicious family dining

Vibrant vegetables,
savory spices, original
recipes and scrumptious
entrees are all a part of
what makes West Linn's
new San Bias Mexican
restaurant all the rave.
A fairly new addition to
the suburban scene, the
restaurant is located in

For locals, it is located
where the Candy Basket
used to be.
The place was not
terribly crowded, but there
were several pleased-
looking families and
couples scattered around
the restaurant's booths
and tables. The service
was quick and we were
seated right away at a very
comfortable booth near the
kitchen.
Dear Bitt and Marty,
Lately, my friends have
been getting into bad stuff:
watching PG-13 rated
movies, drinking soda after
midnight and hugging
the opposite sex. I am
uncomfortable with this
transition. I don't want to
leave my friends, but I don't
want to fall into this out-
of-control lifestyle. Help?

The menu also included
many items special to the

My brother ordered two

However, they also offered

Although expensive,
this was by far the most

I have ever eaten in my

were combined and cooked
to perfection. The freshly
baked flour tortillas just
topped it off. It was a
pretty large amount of food

my stomach was
definitely pleased.

don't have many options.
If you truly want to keep

to accept the changes that
your friends are undergoing.
However, this doesn't mean
you have to do the same

Pollo a la Crèma, an original dish at San Bias M exican Restaurant,
is available for $13.95. The dish is mouth watering with fresh
ingredients including grilled chicken, mushrooms, several cheeses,
sour cream and vegetables.
Dear Fashion Frustration,
As we see it (being
guys) there really is no
difference between the two
options. Just wear whatever
makes you feel the most
comfortable and confident
because your attitude will
be the determining factor.
However, Marty and I
asked some female friends
what they thought. The
general consensus was that
you should go with the blue
dress and boots. Also, some
suggested switching out the
boots for other shoes. As for
accessories, you should see
if you can borrow a friend's
jewelry to save money. It's
just one dance; there will
be many more to come, so
don't worry too much and
just have fun.
Dear Biff and Marty,
Should I use Valentine's
Day to ask out the girl I like?
everything together.
When the time came
to pay our tab, the
waitress happily— and
very quickly— returned
our bill, as well as two
deep fried chips with
whipped cream, honey, and
strawberry sauce on them.
This automatically had me
leaving the restaurant with
a smile on my face as I do
admit to having a sweet
tooth.
If I had to rate this
restaurant, I would easily
grant it a four out of five
stars. A great place for
family-friendly dining with
tasty food and wonderful
service, I would highly
recommend this eatery
Thoroughly enjoying the
evening, I do assume that
I will be visiting San Bias
Mexican Restaurant again,
and soon.
Valentine Virgin
Dear VV,
This depends on how
comfortable you are with
being rejected. If you
really won't mind if you're
rejected, then go for it.
Worst case scenario is that
she says no, but if you are
going to ask her out, make
sure that she isn't already
dating someone else. The
other thing you could do
is just wait or keep your
feelings to yourself. Quite
frankly, there are many
different people out there,
so we're sure if things
don't work out, you'll find
another girl that you like.
