It's that time of year
again...
May Day: it's a time to
gather and celebrate spring,
music, dance, art, theatre,
curtsies, and the infamous
court questions. It's a time
to transform the gym into an
Enchanted Forest, Chinatown
or Wonderland. It's a time
for the seniors to leave one
last mark on the school and
depart with style.
As seniors, we can finally
count the weeks left of high
school on our fingers, and life
is a mix of bustling chaos and
empty void as we prepare
to graduate. May Day, with
its comfortable tradition and
grace, is the cherry on top of
the high school experience,
and we, as seniors, now set
the example. We can have
fun. We can leave that one

If you were voting, who would
you vote for and why?
I'd vote for all of them if I
could, but if I had to choose
I'd vote for Isaac (Cohen) and
Marta (Hanson). I respect
both of them immensely, and
what can I say? I love them!
What is your favorite high school
memory?
My favorite high school
memory was probably
Outdoor School junior year. It
was by far one of the most fun
and fulfilling experiences in
my life to date.
What are your plans after high
school?
If you were voting, who would
you vote for and why?
For May court queen I would
vote for Rachel Sebastian
because she is one of my
best friends and she is such a
wonderful and kind person!
For king I would vote for Joe
Lewis because he has such
integrity he refused to answer
this question.
How do you make the world a
last mark.
It's a weird feeling,
knowing we're almost done.
And yet, that's why I'm
having so much fun. I want
to make the most of this—of
May Day, of May Court,
of the last weeks of high
school. Being on May Court
has been wonderful because
I've had the opportunity
to get to know some of the
people I've gone to school
with for years whom I didn't
necessarily know before. And
even though we all only have
a short time before we head
off into our own futures,
this experience has been
incredibly worthwhile.
So let's celebrate. Let's
celebrate the end of winter,
the beginning of spring, the
end of the journey thus far,
and the beginning of the rest
of our lives.
Let the festivities begin!
be RocketDog, because I like them
and then I could go to the moon
and bark at people.
Paul Morris
If you were voting, who would you
vote for and why?
I would vote for Nathaniel Merlin
not only because he is a good guy,
but he is not on the ballot and he
deserves to be.
What is your favorite book and why?
My favorite book is Redeeming
Love by Francine Rivers. It's the
only book I have ever liked. I hate
reading but I was sad to finish this
book! It's AMAZING!!!
If you were a shoe, which shoe would
you be?
I guess Nike...cuz my mini shocks
are my favorite! They're really
cute!

I plan on attending West
Point, where I'll hopefully
major in something related
to international relations.
My long term goal is to be a
diplomat and ultimately an
ambassador in order to have
a positive effect and change in
the world while my ultimate
goal to establish world peace,
a clean earth, and some sort of
end to world poverty. I guess
that makes me an idealist
but I believe in progress and
in each individuals actions
making a difference.

How do you make the world a better
place?
I have realized through many
experiences that the power of the
mind is what moves the world.
Through the passions of our heart
we find this power and become
conduits of change.
What are your plans after high
school?
I'm going to college and I'm
beginning a new chapter of my
life. I'm planning on going to
the University of Oregon and
majoring in pre-journalism and
communications. After a few
years I plan on taking over the
new PF Chang's China Bistro
down in Eugene.

What is your favorite high school
memory?
I think my favorite part of high
school has been Jazz Choir and

beach house! It was some good
bonding time!

I would be Havana Joes, cause

they are automatically amazing!
