Shawn McDevitt, science teacher, commands the grill at the
Homecoming Carnival. Hamburgers, hot dogs and cheeseburgers
were served to the large crowd of students, parents and children.
McDevitt and wife, Julie, science teacher co-advised the Senior Class
Council and were regulars at West Linn sporting events, especially
Varsity football games.

lion on his stomach in preparation for the Homecoming game against
Putnam. To show off their school spirit and to promote excitement, each
game a few students deck themselves out in green and gold paint.
The crowd roars as the Lions score touchdown after touchdown
against the Kingsmen on Oct. 6. This spirit carried over from the
game to the Homecoming Dance which was attended by over 600
students. The dance, held on Senior Street, was one of the biggest

QuarterbackMychalZito and Lane Locke, senior co-captains, consult halfway through the Homecoming
Game against Putnam. The Lions defeated Putnam 20-0, giving the team a 5-0 record. With Zito on the
sidelines with an injury, Bryce Baker stepped in to throw 19 attempted passes, completing 10.
