For the past "two
years I have
been
working in
student
government--just long
enough to see that
there should be ’’some
changes made.”
Un-
fortunatley it is now
Impossible for me to
tell you what I have
found out.
What
I
ask is a chance to
get at the root of
the trouble
before
student self govem-
ment becomes a thing
of the past,
When I
know that I have the
students squarely be
hind me I will be able
to do what I. know is
right and say what I
have to say.
I think I
know
what
the
students
want and I am sure
that I have found out
the s tops necessary
to see that they get
what they want.
I
pledge myself to fight
for what is best for
the students of West
Linn and I know that
I’ll find the students
willing to back me up.
One of the out
standing
candidates
for president
this
year is Waldo Silver,
who has been active
in football, basket
ball, and baseball.
His leadership abili
ty has been very ably
demonstrated
as he
was president of his
class his sophomore
year, secretary
of
the '
International
club, and is secre
tary of 'the police
force, secretary of
the Hi-Y and vice-
president of the Hon
or society.
Waldo
refrained
from making a state
ment but let it be
known that if he is
elected he will do
his utmost to make
next year one of the
most successful West
Linn has ever had.
