Page Four THE AMPLIFIER Phil Moll Presents Musical Program Pat Brennan Winner Mr. Oliver Is Now Of Recent Ad Contest Convalescing Bursts of applause followed each number presented by the Phil Moll Music company pro­ gram which was given at the West Linn High School on Tues­ day. 1 The students were enter­ tained by many musical num­ bers. The novelty number was "The Three Trees,” which had effective sound effects when re­ corded for a phonograph record. The brass choir and school yells were also recorded on a phono­ graph record, which were both played for the students after they were made. The contest sponsored by the advertising department of the Amplifier in issue 12 was won by Pat Brennan and Harold Seaman. Margie Hiuras, manager of the Amplifier, awarded $1.00 first prize to Pat and second prize of 50 cents to Harold Seaman in assembly March 11. There will be further contests in issues to come. EUROPEAN HIT PARADE In the legislature meeting, Wednesday, three committees were appointed. Phylis Miller, Betty Kyllo, Ed Woodworth, Jun­ ior Silvers and Betty Young with Mr. Oppenlander as supervisor were appointed to take care of the budget. Another committee was appointed to take care of finance, those appointed were Betty Easson, Bill Bolz, Eu­ gene Booth and Janet Wieve- sick. The third committee is to deeide on constitutional proced­ ure. Those appointed were Floyd Nordurft, Doris Draper, Audrey Kern, Marilyn Miller, Betty Downing and Art Hubner. It was also decided that the members of the legislature should open a discussion in their home rooms for the purpose of finding what the students think about a student body and the way it functions.
