W.L. Hi-Y Boys
Act as Hosts
The West Linn Hi-Y was host
to several Hi-Y clubs of other
schools. Bob Bristol, who took the
place as master of ceremonies,
from Forest Grove, is the presi
dent of the Inter Hi-Y counsel.
Mr. Rickter, secretary of the Hi-Y
for this area, introduced Mr. Du

Oregon State college. Dean Du
back told of some of his experi
ences in other countries.
Musical numbers on the piano
and songs from some of the boys
were enjoyed.
The induction of new members
was held in the band room, and
each new member received his
Hi-Y pin.
Mrs. Herndon provided the
supper, with the Pep club girls
serving.

Proud Papa
Assistant Coach Sam Nixon is
now a proud papa of a 9^-pound
boy. Fifteen days old, he has a
heavy foliage of light brown hair,
and when Mr. Nixon was asked
whom boy resembled most he re
plied: “It’s sure good-looking; it
looks just like its mother.”
The baby boy was christened
Robert Lee Nixon. When further
questioned, the coach said: “Bob
can’t talk as yet but sure can put
up a husky howl.” Coach Nixon
also explained that Bob will be
a great baseball player.
