Members of B illy Webb Lodge accepted into theP.E.R.Council fo r their meritorious work were Bros. R.H. Leverett, Bro. Robert W illiam s, Bro. Marvin McKermy, Bro. Warren Linton and Bros. John Holling. Visiting Council members were from : Seattle, Tacoma, Yakima and Spokane. BARNETT AT 8-4671 La Femmes held their 10th Anniversary tea at the Knott Street Com munity Center, Sunday May 6. The beautiful table decorations and flow er arrangements were done by the juniors, the seniors taking over the entertainment. A lovely affair well attended. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, In., Beta Psl Chapter, presented Jabberwock at the Lloyd Center Auditorium, Friday evening. May 4. F irst prize was won by die Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, second prize went to the Kwanzan Club, and third p rize was taken by the Harriet Tubman Club. The queen contest was won by Angela Deloney. A good crowd was in attendance. New officers installed by the Beta Psl Chapter are: Mrs. O scar Haynes, P res., Miss Lena McMillan Vice President, Mrs. Laura Glosson, Corresponding Sec., Mrs. Marlene F u ller, Sec., Mrs. Sidney Bowman, T reas., Miss Lena Hillsm an,Srgnt-at-Arm s, Mrs. Vera Gibbs, Journalist. The instalatlon took place at the home of Mrs. Marlene Fuller with M rs. Jo Anna Bradford co-hostess. On the 20th of this month the Beta Psl Chapter with the Pyram id club, mothers and patrons will attend Hughs Memorial Church in a body, after which there will be a coffee and fellowship hour at the home of Mrs. Ruth Neal on N. E, Rodney. Zeta lota Sorority, Inc., held its regular monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Etolle Cox, 5526 N. E. Jessup. It was the firs t time some of the group had seen the spacious new home and were impressed by the amenities of quiet living. The Gussle Thompson committee sponsored a tea at the home of Clara Pickett, Sunday, May 5th. Mrs. Thompson is a candidate fo r the State Legislature. The Albina Taxpayers andCivic Association held their regular meeting at the Elks Club Sunday evening. The group by unanimous assent elected the temporary officers U; permanent status. Namely, M rs. Viviane L. Barnett, Pres.; Mr. U. H. Leverette, V lc e -P re s .;M rs . E toille Cox, Sec.; Mrs. Rozelle J. Yee, Treas.
