The local VFW had its annual awards ceremony Friday the 15th for the high
school Voice of Democracy speech contest. Pictured top right photo, R-L:
Savannah Potter won 1st place (2nd at District). Kylie Barnett won 2nd. Treyton
Montgomery won 3rd. All are students at Harvest Christian Academy. Savannah
is a sophomore, Kylie is a senior and Treyton is a Sophomore. In the Patriots
Pen essay contest for junior high Naomi Potter won fi rst place locally, at District
and is going to State for the convention/award banquet in Newport in January
20th. Names of 2nd and 3rd place winners were unavailable in time for print.
