itself.
The personal property
(industrial baking equip-
ment) was seized in 2015
due to delinquent property
taxes, and the amount of
the lien is $7,950.38,
which was set as the mini-
mum bid.
The personal property is
valued at $171,669, and
there will be a sale, by
auction (the buyer needs
to purchase all and remove
all within 14 days), on
Tuesday, October 3, 2017,
10 a.m., on the steps of the
Baker County Courthouse.
Harvey said that one day
before the sale, bidders
will have an opportunity to
view the personal property.

New child passenger
law clarified
Please note this correc-
tion to last week's news
release about the new child
passenger law in Oregon
(went into effect May 27,
2017).
The body of the news
release was correct but at
the bottom of that release,
The Oregon Department
submitted outdated infor-
The
mation. and sends their
apologies.
Here's the correct infor-
mation:
Oregon law requires
children less than forty
pounds be restrained in a
child safety system.
Children under age two
must use a child seat with
harness in a rear-facing
position, unless the child
turned one year of age
prior to May 26, 2017.
A child over forty pounds
must be restrained in either
a child seat or a booster
seat appropriate for their
size until they reach age
eight or 4’ 9” tall and the
adult belt system fi ts them
correctly.
