Her cellar was always
lined with shelves of
canned applesauce, apri-
cots, plums, cherries, and
pears, to name a few. Edna
took pride in her cooking
and was delighted to share
her recipes. She could
whip up a delicious home-
cooked meal with only
a moment’s notice, and
no one ever left her table
hungry.
Edna treasured the good
fellowship of her friends
and neighbors. As an active
member of the Burnt River
Home Extension Study
Group for 50+ years, she
spent countless hours with
other women in the group
working on beautiful quilts
to be raffl ed off for charity.
Edna lived a full and
vibrant life fi lled with hard
work and lots of achieve-
ment and joy. She was a
woman of strong character
and wasn’t afraid to let her
opinions be heard. Edna
and Segundo lived at the
Bridgeport ranch until
2011 when they moved to
Pioneer Place in Vale. Her
quick wit and feisty spirit
will be sorely missed.

death by her husband, Se-
