A Celebration Jack of Jack’s life Clark will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Janice and Jack’s home in Baker City. This is a potluck and his wife Janice will be cooking up all of Jack’s favorite foods. Jack Robert Clark was born on May 22, 1946 in Corvallis, Oregon to Robert and Jean (McNutt) Clark. Jack was raised in Eastern Washington until the age of 16, when they moved to Port Angeles, Washington. Following high school Jack enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam 1964- 1966. On March 27, 1969, Jack married Janice Burgess in Port Angeles, Washington. They had three children. Jack enjoyed salt water fi shing in Washington waters, razor clam digging, sports and hunting. His favorite color was red and he loved spring, which in- cluded daffodils and roses. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cathryn Virgillo, granddaughter Tiahna Marie Messersmith. Jack is survived by his wife Janice; daughters Ja- nine and her husband Troy Romero of Port Angeles, Washington; son Richard Clark of Olympia, Wash- ington; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren (and one on the way) sister Jan- ice Christie of Bellingham, Washington; Chihuahua’s Happy and Caesar and his cat Cleopatra. Jim was born James to James M. Jones Jones and Deloris Dahl Jones in Lewiston, Idaho. He spent his youth on the north fork of the Clearwa- ter River out of Orofi no, Idaho. After serving in the Marine Corp. he moved to Baker City, Oregon where he met and married his wife Leslie. Jim was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fi shing and being in the mountains. He will be missed by all. Jim is survived by his wife Leslie, sons; Jeff (Carey) of Earling, Iowa, Justin (Amy) of Magnolia, Delaware, and Jimmy of Missouri. He is also sur- vived by his brothers; Bill (Carley) of Kamiah, Idaho, Brady (Pam) of Orofi no, Idaho, Rockie of Orofi no, Idaho, Ricky (Vicki) of Orofi no, Idaho. Patricia Anne Fessel Haines, 1929-2016 Patricia Anne “Pat” Fessel, 86, of Haines, Or- egon passed away at her residence. Pat was born on July 25, 1929 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Paul Richard Peterson and Marguerite Clarey Peterson. Her paternal grandparents were pioneer homesteaders in the Cody, Wyoming area. Pat attended public schools in Wyoming and Nebraska, graduating from Greybull High School in Wyoming in 1947. She then graduated from Cot- tey Junior College in Ne- vada, Missouri in 1949 and then from the University of Colorado, with a bachelor degree in nursing in 1953. Pat married Robert E. Reed at Billings, Montana on September 1, 1953. They lived in Burlington, Vermont while he served in the Air Force, Syracuse, New York while Robert studied for a degree in Forestry, and in Oakridge and Corvallis, Oregon as he pursued a career with the United States Forest Service. Pat worked as a nurse at each of the loca- tions they moved to. Mr. Robert Reed tragically died in an automobile ac- cident in 1968. Pat married William C. “Bill” Fessel Jr. in Cor- vallis, Oregon on August 2, 1969. They lived in Corvallis, Oregon, Boring, Oregon, and Redmond, Washington before moving to Baker County, Oregon in 1983. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon. Pat was a 65 + year member of the PEO Sisterhood and in Baker County, she was a member of Chapter AX.
