free sno-cones at the Haines 4th of July Celebration on Monday. Pictured from

Lieutenant Warren Thompson. Free sno cones will be available again in August
at the Community Night Out in the Geiser-Pollman Park.

Also in the parade were
Smokey Bear, the Hunting-
ton Fire Department, Vale
District BLM, Sheriff’s
candidate John Hoopes,
the Huntington Historical
Society, kids on bikes and
golf carts as well as horses.
This year’s Grand Mar-
shalls, Carmen and Wiley
Harding, rode in a shiny
white Hummer and the
Lion’s Club, VFW, State
of Oregon and USA fl ags
were carried proudly down
the parade route by school
students Tyalinn Harrison,
Rose Harrison, Gordon
Harrison and Aiden Hicks.
Immediately after the
parade the kids enjoyed
the water park area with
slides, pool and sprinklers
to cool them off after chas-
ing down the candy thrown
from the fl oats.
At 4 p.m. it was time for a
good all-American hot dog
dinner at the Cook Shack
complete with popsicles
for dessert.
Both events were spon-
sored by the Chamber of
Commerce. The celebra-
tion was complete with a
dazzling fi reworks display
at dusk at Farewell Bend
State Park set off for a
very appreciative crowd by
the Lion’s Club.

• Possess a safe driving record
• Must be over the age of 21
• Familiarity with the Marvin product line, helpful
• Knowledge of DOT and Marvin Windows regula-
tions, helpful
