Shumway said, “We
(the Burnt River Irriga-
tion District) have been on
record as opposing it going
through irrigated property,
and as Chairman of the
Irrigation District, we are
prepared to support, or use,
litigation, if necessary, to
try and keep it off of ir-
rigated property.”
Partway through the
meeting, larger maps were
provided and displayed on
the tables where the Board
sat, so attendees could see
more detail, and discuss
issues with those present.
After looking through
the maps, Bennett re-
quested public attendees
to provide the Board or
(Holly) Kerns with com-
ments about the route by
the aforementioned date,
so they can be passed on to
Gonzalez.
“I think, in the long run,
the best we will see is a
‘tolerable’ route, versus a
preferred route,” Bennett
said. He said that email
