sociation' of Benton county held its
twentlv-seventh convention near Mon-

held at Simpson Chapel and the second
day at Belfountain Park." - The attend

helpful addresses and discussions.

presided during the entire convention.

and J. G. Minton. An address on "The
Real American Boy," by Rev. PhippB,
was especialley instructive. Boys are

power has been turned to the upbuild

Bonds Turned Down
No bids were received for the Klam
ath Falls citv bonds voted for the
construction of a sewerage system
due to the rate of interest being fixed
at 4. per cent. The bonds are now
beiner readvertised, but the interest
rate has been raised to 6 per cent. It
is believed there will be no trouble in
disposing of them now.' By the time
the funds are available everything will
I be ready to begin construction.
