session of Congress "will enact
a deficiency appropriation bill
during the present session, in
which event Oregon's money
will be forthcoming pretty soon.
The total amount of the
claim allowed is $193,534, and
is based upon the Goverment's
offer of $150 for every man
that would volunteer to serve
during the Ciyil War. Oregon
