MON , JAN. 25, 1971 ROGUE NEWS PAGE THREE Especially In Ashland Snovfimes Are Funfimes by Larry Taylor For economy and value, get George Harrison's new album, All Things Must Pass. It's three records for the price of two, which is really great when the quality of the music is considered. It's perfect for old Beatles and new George Harrison fans. Included: an impressive one-record Apple jam, featuring Eric Clapton. Those of you who saw Woodstock probably won't need any urging to buy the album, at any price, but it should be noted that it includes a lot of good stuff that wasn't even in the movie. For example, the Jefferson Airplane, Butterfield Blues Band, and a couple more cuts by Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. If you haven't heard the new Creedence album, Pendulum, it's alright for CCR freaks (assuming they've gotten used to hearing the same o'.i thing on every album). John Mayall's latest, USA Union, is one of the best works of that superb British blues artist. Blows Against the Empire, by Jefferson Starship, includes the Jeff Airplane with David Crosby and Graham Nash. Soup Coke A strange layer of cold, dry and fun-filled matter has been covering the valley floor these past few weeks. This matter, which is more commonly known as "SNOW" has brought a great deal of fun to the students at Ashland High School. Snowball fights at the end of each period have brought a great deal of excitement to the open corridors of our school. Naturally, the snowball fights at noon are the most daring and adventurous of them all. Students must keep on their toes in order to avoid oncoming snowballs. They have to move fast or else they will get creamed with a mass of wet slush! Ice skating on the Lithia Park duck ponds can be very adventurous to the local dare-devils. Extreme caution must be taken while propelling around the pond or a person could find themselves knee deep in freezing water with their eyes staring into the two beady eyes of a vicious black or white swan. If you can't blow off steam, you're a likely candidate for an anxiety attack, says Dr. Jackson A. Smith, chief of psychiatry at Loyola University, in an article in the December issue of Science Digest. Anxiety is a fear that suddenly arises over your state of health body or mental. The solution? "Get mad," says Dr. Smith. "Express your anger."
