PACE THREE
RECENT RECORDING:
Abraxas, by Santana, is a taste
of originality in the midst of a
lot of the same old sounds. The
latin-style music is not quite like
anything else on the rock music
scene. The percussions are the
most distinctive facet of the
album, and the instrumentals are
features. However, this does not
detract from the excellent vocals
(in both English and Spanish).
NEW RELEASE: Stephen
Stills is a once-in-a-lifetime
congregation of the greatest rock
music artists. Stills formerly
recorded with the Buffalo
Springfield and Crosby, Stills.

New Computer
Class Offered
Among the other studies
classes given as a choice this year
was computer programming in
which students could choose the
elective and learn to program
computers.
Several students chose this
elective as it was offered during
daytime curriculum for the first
time this school year. This
computer came about from a
night class offered last year
which was federally funded and
was not limited as to who could
attend.
There are two classes of
computer programming in which
Mr. Keil teaches a class of about
50 students and Mr. Garrett
teaches 23 students advanced
computer programming.
The students are working
with two machines, the ECP-18
computer and the IBM-360
Model 65 which computes to
Portland by telephone and
receives an answer back in
seconds.
